If I were to become a science teacher in a lab setting, I would most likely use Excel to make it easier for my students to collect data, such as average, standard deviation, mean, mode, and more. When calculating data, it can be quite confusing to do by hand, so having a computer calculate the data is helpful and allows students to focus more of their time perfecting their work. Excel has become very useful for me in college, considering it is the first time I am using the program with a purpose. Before I left high school, the only reason I used Excel was to make a chart, but now I have learned the many functions one can perform just by studying the program.
