Blog Journal 6

I went online and found class from St. Brendan's School of the Bronx, New York. I chose to look at Stephanie Leone's 4th grade page. On her page, she has individual class pages, such as "Absences," "Classwork," and "Homework." She also includes weekly news and a list of the students in class. Since this information is public, the parents of the students are able to see what homework they have due every day of the week. This is helpful for the students, although they should be accountable; the parents can make sure their children are doing the work assigned to them, and this also keeps the parents involved daily as their children are still only 9-10 years old.  https://stbrendanschoolbronx.org/4th-grade

In terms of personal responsibility, I will use technology daily in my future life. I rely on corresponding through email every day since I've been in high school. Talking to professors, colleagues, and even family members through email keeps things organized. I really value how replying to an email brings all correspondences together between the two people who are emailing back and forth. I will never understand how some people fail to use email as a reliable form of communication, technologically. It is so useful, especially when students graduate college and are headed into the work field.

Throughout my schooling career, I have been very used to learning from a SMART Board. My teachers would allow the students to go up to the board and physically interact with what we were learning in class that day. I especially used this in math class. My teacher would call on us to go up to the SMART Board and solve a math problem by whichever color pen we wanted. This is a fantastic tool to use in a classroom, and truly keeps the students engaged in the subject and in the class.
