From working with Diigo, I have learned to better communicate with my classmates and see what they feel is worth knowing in each article that is bookmarked and annotated. We are able to discuss a topic by replying to other posts as well. These applications can be useful in a classroom setting by teaching students how beneficial it is to be able to communicate online. There are so many functions of this website to bring users to converse with others is a step in the right direction, especially in the educational field.
To support student learning at each level of Bloom's Taxonomy, we could use a PowerP
oint presentation. This would help the students at each grade level learn at the pace they are supposed to. Remember, understand, applying, analyzing, evaluating, creating. These six levels can be presented in one presentation. First, I would outline the slides and how to introduce the subject. I would then lead the introduction to the lowest step and show how to apply it in schoolwork and other activities. This lesson would be a particular Goal Setting class. These steps teach and improve students of all levels.
Technology and teacher professional development go hand in hand these days. No communication is made without the presence of technology. In a teaching environment, computers and other devices are so readily available which means technology is universal and is known to improve schools and teaching professional environments. Teachers must be aware of updates and changes in technology as much as they can!
